Please pray for Amber and I as we get ready to go to Church Planting Assessment Nov 4th-7th. This is a week long assessment where professors, local church planters, and psychologist take note of every move you make. It is designed to see how you work with other people and the staff at CPAC come up with different church planting scenarios to stretch your mind. Amber and I are very excited about the experience and we know we will learn a ton about each other.
You can read more information about CPAC on their website: www.churchplanting4me.org

Staff Retreat
So, I am here at Staff Retreat in Ocean Isle, NC. This place is pretty peaceful. Its on an island and the beach isn't very crowded. The pastoral staff and I are getting a lot done by discussing our plans for the new Fort Mill campus opening Jan 09. Everything is very exciting but we have a ton of work by training and recruiting more volunteers for all our ministries. The retreat will end thursday night and we hope to have pretty good plan for the new campus. hA lot of the meetings are around the purchase of the old Charlotte Bobcats Training Facility. We are going to turn the building into a community outreach center. We plan to host concerts, basketball camps, Christian counceling center, and a community cafe. Well, I can't talk long because I have another meeting in a minute. I will keep you all posted.
Prayer Concerns:
A new campus pastor to be in place by Nov. 08
Our new facility that we are trying to purchase from the Charlotte Bobcats (NBA team)
Non-Profits to partner with us to help purchase the new building

Get to know the Strozyks...
Hmmm, Who are the Strozyk’s? I ask that question everyday. Just kidding. You will discover very quickly that my wife and I joke around a bunch. Now, let’s get down to business.
My name is Blake Anthony Strozyk and I was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas. My wonderful wife, Amber, is from Bristol, TN. We both were raised in Christian homes and share the gift of southern hospitality. After nine years in Florida I decided to continue my education at Johnson Bible College in Knoxville, TN. I graduated with a Music and Bible degree in 2006. I met my wife at Johnson and on May 20th 2006 we married. After graduation I went to work for Ruby Tuesdays Inc. as a computer IT while my wife was finishing her masters in education.
In 2007, my wife and I became part of a launch team for a new church plant in Knoxville called Crossings. At Crossings, we both developed a heart for church planting and a passion to help people find their way back to God. I was very involved in the worship and creative arts ministries. I frequently led worship and grew to love bluegrass music. Amber used her teaching gifts by leading the 1st-3rd grade Bible classes.
If we are not at church we are either at the movies or at a local coffee shop. My wife and I love going to the movies and trying new restaurants. When the weather is nice I enjoy a nice game of disc golf. My wife and I both share a love for playing music. Many of you have heard that I play 12 instruments and that is true. My wife is keeping up with me by playing 5.
We are both excited about our new faith journey at LifePointe. I am looking forward to sharing God’s story through this Blog.
Shalom,
Blake and Amber Strozyk
